Statement on the Israel-Hamas War from KJCG

We are deeply saddened by the loss of life, injury, and displacement caused by the attacks in the Israel-Hamas war. Our thoughts are with all those who are suffering and affected by the horrors of war. There is no shortage of suffering, whether it is this conflict, the war in Ukraine, the ongoing paramilitary war in Sudan, and more…it feels overwhelming and never-ending, even for those not directly affected. It is our belief that a just world relies on individuals feeling safe and secure, and we fervently hope for a peaceful, equitable resolution to this conflict and others so people can know peace no matter who they are or where they live. We must all stand together against hatred, violence, and oppression and use the power of our voices and our positions in whatever way possible to sow peace and support the world we want. We encourage everyone to seek out understanding, join others, listen, and learn from each other, and remember our shared humanity, as ways to bring about healing and light the way forward.
