Asia Eaton
Dr. Asia Eaton received a Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Statistics, from the University of Chicago. She completed her undergraduate work at Carnegie Mellon University, receiving a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Philosophy. She also earned a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University (FIU).
As a consultant at The Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group, Inc. (KJCG), her expertise includes diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and organizational climate and culture. She has given lectures and led workshops on women’s leadership, negotiation, identity management, and sexual harassment for organizations like Facebook, TSA, the U.S. Marines, and Prime Global. Her research has been featured in national and international news outlets including the New York Times, Forbes, Science Magazine, and BBC News. She is the recipient of numerous national awards for her research, teaching, and leadership, including the Emerging Leadership Award from the Committee for Women in Psychology (2019), SPSSI’s Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring Award (2019), and SPSSI’s Michele Alexander Early Career Award (2016).
In addition to her consulting work, Asia is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Florida International University (FIU), where she runs the PWR Lab and holds positions in both Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Developmental Psychology. At FIU, she teaches advanced classes on gender and leadership and the psychology of organizations. She is also the Head of Research for the nonprofit organization Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI), which is working to understand and end cyber abuse.
