Presenter: Judith Katz, The Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group, Inc.
2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. Eastern
From peer-to-peer leadership, holocracy, networked organizations, and the demands of Millennials, traditional hierarchy is no longer obsolescing; it is dead—and the concept of the “boss” is dying with it. In this session, we’ll discuss changing expectations of people to have about work and being included and the opportunities these shifts bring related to how people lead, how work gets done, and how to grow an increasingly diverse workforce.
Attendees will examine the roles leaders, peers, and individuals have in growing themselves and others; how they (and their organizations) can fully engage and include people along the generational spectrum; and how to support everyday leadership across organizations, irrespective of titles or positions. The session will feature a case study of a company known for its progressive approach, that is retooling its leadership structure, teams, and work to maximize accountability, performance, contribution, and joy.
Key Takeaways:
- New awareness of how hierarchy has blocked inclusion and how new models can unleash people’s creativity and contribution.
- Understanding of the Consciously Inclusive mindsets and behaviors that support everyday leadership in a changing workforce.
- Strategies that can be immediately applied for more effective, inclusive interactions that drive collaboration and success.
