The Power of Agency Receives Silver Award from Nonfiction Book Awards

We are excited to share that The Power of Agency has received a second award — the Silver Award from Nonfiction Book Awards.

The authors introduce a concept called Agency that allows individuals in organizations to have greater power and autonomy to increase influence, voice and decision-making. The book introduces examples of inadequate practices in companies that prevent employees from feeling comfortable due to poor room for maneuvering because of micromanagement, among other issues. In this context, the book creates clear pathways for companies to change their practices and move towards this new framework or mindset that will generate more successful organizations and more satisfied teams and individuals.

The graphics and charts made the content clear and easy to follow. Each chapter builds the reader’s knowledge base by using examples and suggestions for implementation. Chapter ten: Managers and supervisors cultivating agency in every role is full of how-to and how-to-resolve suggestions for working with individuals, teams, and managers in general. This book is a useful tool for those seeking to transform their workplace.
